💀 Character Information
Name: Roman Torchwick
Canon: RWBY
Canon Point: End of vol 3.
Age: 29
Description:
Torchwick has dark green eyes that are lined with black eyeliner. His hair is pumpkin orange and his bangs cover his right eye. He wears a feathered bowler hat with a red band. He also has long, black gloves that have several buckles across them, a black shirt, black pants, and black shoes. Over his shirt he wears a red collared, white suite. He also has a small, grey scarf around his neck. Note also that he dry cleans his clothes regularly and keeps his shoes shined. He’s pretty vain about maintaining the image he projects to others. And scruffy just isn’t classy. (I would not be surprised if he keeps a lint roller handy.)

Physical changes: If his eyes could glow red when he’s having a strong emotion, that would be great. Otherwise, n/a.
Powers:
Roman carries a cane weapon called Melodic Cudgel. This weapon can alternate between a melee weapon, a grappling hook and a gun. When the weapon is used as a gun, a reticle is raised for aiming- shots of dust can be fired in quick succession and the explosive powers are strong enough to blow holes into concrete. There’s a switch that also releases a grappling hook that he can and has used to snag a fleeing opponent. He can also use the handle to knock them of balance, or pull their legs out from under them when using it offensively. In addition, he can hook and throw his own dust flare shots with the handle.
Roman has shown himself to have good aim and good reflexes. He seldom misses a target. He was able to throw a dust crystal at Ruby’s feet and then aim to blow it up the moment it landed. He was also able to fend off both Blake and Sun together, keeping up with Blake’s movements even though she was using her shadow clones against him and Sun had the advantage of some long range attacks.

Hell Status: Hell Veteran
What Brings Them To Hell:

Oh where to even begin? I suppose being a lying, cheating, stealing, surviving and let’s not leave out murdering, troll probably cemented the whole damnation thing.
Roman doesn’t really give a damn about anything except number one. And possibly, Neo. That’s probably his one road block to being a completely unredeemable jerk. But when it came down to his own survival or banding with a group of sociopaths who wanted to watch the world burn, he decided to help them rather than burn with it. He didn’t just go along with it to survive though, he thoroughly enjoyed participating in parts of it. Though if you’re forced to go along with destroying a city, you may as well enjoy it. He also has no qualms about fighting dirty or beating the crap out of a fallen opponent that can barely fight back – even if that opponent is a fifteen-year-old girl. (And let’s be honest, the kid needed a beating to make her realize that reality wasn’t cookies and rainbows.) He openly has scorn for and dislikes those that would call themselves heroes or fight for the losing side. But hey, if you are that type, fine. Keep doing you. He’ll be there to manipulate and exploit it. Thanks for keeping him in business.

The Pitch:

You know that guy that you really hate but can’t help loving because he’s charismatic, snarky and hilarious? He really should go before he ends up offing another one of your beloved characters, but then where would you get your entertainment without him around? That is Torchwick.

The thing is, Roman knows he’s a ‘villain’ to use the goody-two-shoes term. He doesn’t care. He loves being him. He thrives on every minute of trolling society. Why not? He’s getting away with it, you aren’t. If only you had the backbone, you little do -gooding hero, you might have some fun every once in a while, but you don’t. Sucks to be you.

Roman is the kind of guy, that if by some freak accident he ended up in heaven, he’d do something terrible on purpose within a week of being there just so that he could not be bored to tears. In life, he was the king of Vale’s underworld. He robbed dust stores until cops were on every corner and prices for the dust were at their highest. He worked with terrorists, he planned heists, he piloted giant robots and sent people fleeing in terror in his wake. (Many of them probably didn’t make it, actually.) He went to jail on purpose just so that he could be in the perfect position to break out and take control of the ship he was being held on. Why? Glad you asked. It was so that he could upload a virus into the robot army that General Ironwank was so proud of, and show him how feeble his efforts to protect the city were. Of course said robot army, oh excuse me Paladin-insert some meaningless number here, because that makes it so much more impressive and not the pieces of junk they were, turned on the hunters and huntresses and law abiding citizens. He also nicked a few of these, because he is a professional thief and sold them to aforementioned terrorists while feeding them a bunch of lies designed to make them believe he actually cared about their cause.

Truly, being stuck up there with all the sanctimonious, so called good people, while nothing ever happened would be the true hell. If he had wanted to retire to some boring, good looking ritzy looking resort, he’d have just stolen until he had enough money and done it already. In fact, he probably has the money, but he just loves his job too much.

And speaking of having goals, revenge is a worthy one. If there was a way into this dump there might be a way out. And with a way out, he could inflict glorious pay back on those responsible for getting him sent to this dump. But that will only happen if he gains enough power and resources. Better get to work. In the meantime, survival takes priority as always and this place could use a respectable business. Well, he’ll make it seem legit and legal anyway. He might not be able to break the rules as openly as he’s enjoyed doing in the past, but he’ll sure enjoy bending them.

Setting Fit:
As much as Roman likes to join the winning side, he does also like being his own boss. He only signed on with Cinder, because, well, he was going to die if he didn’t.

So, as a hell veteran I would like Roman to have been here for a year in a half, give or take. Long enough to have been doing some reaper work, so that he could scope out what's going on in the real world and see if there's a chance to snag anything up there that would be valuable down in Little Hades.

I would like to set him up as a fence of sorts. Not that it'll look like anything shady is going on. It'll look like a normal antique/pawn shop and there will most likely even be regular items there to keep it looking that way. It could also be a great place for thieves to sell their stolen stuff. It's off their hands, Roman resells it at the price he wants, everyone wins.
